BOOK A LAMBORGHINI

LAMBORGHINI RENTAL

Ferriccio Lamborghini along with many of his engineers split from Ferrari in 1963 forming their own stable for making exotic sports cars. Ferriccio believed in only producing cars that were built for speed on the roads. Because of this many of the earlier models did not have the modern conveniences of A/C or radios that would add weight to the vehicle and slow its performance. This is an exotic luxury sports carmaker that has seen some tough times including a bankruptcy’s, but the name and ideals of speed given the corporation from Ferriccio have lived on. In 1974 the Countach was introduced. This is the famous wedge shaped sports car that placed the passenger cabin forward so a huge V-12 engine could be placed in the middle. This gave the car especial balance which translated to superior handling on the road. It was rated with a top speed of 186 mph but there were reports of some owner achieving over 200 mph. Today there are two models of Lamborghini being built in Italy. The flagship of the Lamborghini stable is the Aventador and the new Huracan. The Aventador is only created with a 6.5L V-12 that produces 691 horsepower which can seat only two passengers and no luggage. This is a car for those that only think about driving and obtaining speed when on the road.
A driver can expect to get from 0 to 60 mph in 2.9 seconds with an official top speed of 217 mph. Like all Lamborghini’s, reports from car specialists have filtered in on some achieving 230 mph. The smoothness of this acceleration is provided by a single clutch semi automatic transmission that changes gears in 50 milliseconds. This is an all wheel drive vehicle equipped with electronic controlled traction and handling capabilities. For those drivers that would prefer to feel like they are in a fighter plane there is the Huracan with its cockpit driver compartment. It has a 5.2L V-10 motor developed by both Audi and Lamborghini that produces 602 horsepower. It can accelerate from 0 to 62 in only 3.2 seconds with a top speed of 202 mph. The Huracan is the newest from the Lamborghini stable and orders for them are greater by 10 fold than what can be produced every year. Because of the attention to detail at the Italian plant, less than 200 of them are presently on the road. This makes driving one a rare opportunity for any exotic luxury sports car enthusiastic.
