MCLAREN RENTAL

The McLaren is another ultra sport luxury car manufacture that can directly trace its roots back to racing. Unlike most other cars in this classification, they are based on the island of England off the coast instead of in the Europe mainland. The McLaren race team was founded in 1963 by New Zealander Bruce McLaren. This organization has become one of the most successful Formula One entries in its history winning 182 races since the first one back in 1968. The production of McLaren high performance sports car did not begin until 1970 with the M6GT. There were only two of them ever built and when Bruce died in mid 1970 and so did the production of any road cars for a time. In 1992 the development and production of high performance road cars was started up again. This occurred with the introduction of the world famous McLaren F1. In 1998 it was tested traveling at 241 mph which set the record for the fastest production car in the world at that time. Unlike most other high performance sports cars, this was a three seater where the driver sat in the middle.
It was powered by a 6L V-12 with 618 horsepower developed by BMW. Today’s production of McLaren is only in two models. There is the P1 and the 650. The P1 was a limited production super car that was sold out before the first one was even delivered to its owner. It is powered by a 3.8L V-8 engine that produces 727 horsepower. The super car is also equipped with electric motors that provides for an additional 176 horsepower to the wheels. The P1 can accelerate from 0 to 62 in only 2.8 seconds with an overall top speed of 217 that is electronically limited. The McLaren 650 is more widely available for drivers to enjoy. This model has the same 3.8L V-8 engine as the P1 but only produces 641 horsepower. I can still go from 0 to 62 mph in three seconds with a top speed of 207 mph. while it does lack the electrical power assistance the P1 driver can enjoy, it is still a McLaren that is being furthered developed with new versions soon to appear on the streets. This super car is available in both coupes and roasters for those that do not want to mess up their hair or chose to let it blow in the wind.
